| In the Toddler room the children have plenty of room to move freely and explore their surroundings. We want to offer the children the chance to become more independent. At this age children want to know more about the familiar things around them. This room has a divider to protect the younger toddlers from the older children but still allows them to interact with each other, especially at meal times.
The weekly activity plan covers physical play, role-play construction, creative play, stories and singing.
As the children become more confident and independent we introduce more in- depth activity plans working towards the goals of The Early Years Foundation Stage and preparing the children for school.
Those children who require a nap during the day can go into the sleep room for a short rest after lunch.
We also introduce potty training when the child is ready and nappies are provided for those children still in need of them.
