Information for Parents

Suggestions
To all our parents, please remember we are always open to suggestions to improve any aspects of the nursery so if you have any good ideas please feel free to share them with us.
We would be especially pleased if you could help us with ideas for improving our outside provision which will be a focus during 2010.

Admission of New Children

We understand that admission to our Nursery may be quite a change in your child's life and may cause some initial distress. Our staff are trained to ensure that your child is welcomed and integrated into the Nursery's routines at their own pace. Should you wish to register your child we shall ask you to complete some registration documents. This will provide us with the necessary information we require to ensure that your child receives the most appropriate care. Please advise the Nursery if any information changes.

Collection of Children from the Nursery

Procedures are in place to ensure that your child remains safe at all times. Your child will only be handed over to a known adult. Please ask a member of staff if you require further information.

Illness/Medication

Our staff are all trained in emergency first aid and in the detection of infectious diseases. Authorisation is required before the administration of any medicine or ointment prescribed by the child's doctor. We will ask you to complete our medication records before and after the giving of medicines. In the event of an accident we will complete an accident form to tell you what action was taken. Please ask to see our procedure if you would like further details.
